Reese Akel

Head of Sustainability

Hey! My name is Reese Akel, and I am the Head of Sustainability and an Outreach Coordinator at Communities Ascend.

I am currently a junior in high school, and through this nonprofit, I hope to bring businesses and students together to develop new ways of reducing their environmental impact and build stronger relationships within local communities.

It is important to bring individuals and companies together behind the scenes to create more seamless connections between the two while also providing benefits to both. I can’t wait to work together!

Head of Graphic Design

Hi! My name is Avery Wen. I’m a junior at Albany High School and the graphic design lead for Communities Ascend. I’ve always had a passion for both design and various aspects of business—especially connecting with others. I want Communities Ascend to be a helping hand for my peers as they discover their passions. I hope to collaborate with many small businesses to create new designs, support their rebranding efforts, and bridge the gap between design and business.
